Magellan Software

Magellan Software is the only software that allows you to precisely determine the ownership cost of a private aircraft or helicopter, as well as an estimate of your aircraft's resale value. It is an essential tool in making an acquisition decision. The ownership cost includes, among other things, maintenance costs and the estimated resale value of the aircraft. Maintenance costs are based on the aircraft's technical status on the day of purchase and the number of flight hours planned over five years.

Magellan also has a comparative dimension. Our software allows you to compare your current travel budget with the cost of using a private aircraft based on your destinations, flight frequency, and number of passengers. You will be able to determine the break-even point in terms of passenger numbers, as well as productivity gains. You will also have the option to know your carbon footprint, which you can offset with solutions meeting the most demanding standards.

Individual aircraft acquisition raises legitimate questions about its economic and operational relevance. Sharing solutions exist. You can share the use and cost of an aircraft as a co-owner or co-tenant.

Becoming a co-owner

Co-ownership optimizes the investment and use of an aircraft, reducing initial and operational costs while mitigating financial risks. The acquisition is made in joint ownership or through a dedicated structure. Expenses are divided between fixed costs (according to shares) and variable costs (according to usage). This approach combines flexibility and economic efficiency.

Becoming a co-tenant

Co-tenancy offers a discreet and financially flexible alternative to co-ownership. A contract binds the owning company to a leasing company in which you are a shareholder. This model allows for aircraft control, travel flexibility, and transparent pricing: entry fee, fixed fee prorated to usage, and hourly rate for variable expenses. Operations can be conducted under private regime (PART NCC) via a dedicated company, or under public transport (AIR OPS) via an airline.
